What's Happening....
There has been quite a gap between news bulletins but that doesn't mean all has been quiet
Quite the contrary. I have been scooting all over the world filming and building
Visionmill Productions and Singlemalt TV
Everything has been pushed aside in order to acheive the growth of the two companies
especially after the interest in Singlemalt TV shown by NewsCorp.

Since 2007 , on assignment filming HD content, there have been 4 trips to SE Asia, 2 to Australia, 14 to Scotland, 25 to England.....not to mention France, Spain and Kentucky (Is that a Country?...no...but I have been there too). |

A WORLD FIRST IPTV CHANNEL
Singlemalt.tv. Always striving to push the limits of media Rob's Visionmill Productions recently launched Singlemalt.tv- the worlds frist TV Channel on the web devoted to the whiskies of the world. Singlemalt tv launched only a few months back already draws viewers from more than 80 Countries with an average viewing time of 49 minutes. All content for the Channel is original and is shot in Hi- Definition placing the material miles ahead of other IPTV channels in quality and style. | Miami International Film Festival.
Rob attended the Miami International Film Festival in January as guest of the Florida Governors Office. As a leader in Hi Def technology and the use of high definition for digital theatrical asquisiton...Rob the HD and 35mm component of the Governors "Production Development Seminar Series" designed to update film workers in Florida with the latest developments in technology. This was the first time the Series has been run and it will become a regular feature of the opening days of the Annual Miami International Film Festival. The seminars were run using the facilities at the state of the art Dade College Campus in Miami. |

NEW SHOOTING "THE ADVENTURES OF ROMAN"...HI DEF...TIBOOBURRA, NSW, AUSTRALIA Rob was
recently on location in Tibooburra, about 600 mniles from
Sydney photographing a Theatrical Short film..."The
Adventures of Roman". The film is being Produced and
Directed by Anny Slater. The film is being shot on the
Panavision Hi Def camera system for release on film and
is utilizing the 2.35:1 (anamorphic) aspect ratio. The film is currently in Post Production For more details go to THE ADVENTURES OF ROMAN. |

PREPPING FEATURE FILM TO BE SHOT IN EAST TIMOR AND AUSTRALIA Rob is currently working with his Friend of many years, multi Academy Award nominated Documentary Director David Bradbury, on David's first Feature Film to be shot in East Timor and Australia in 2007. Rob visited East Timor with David last year for the first recce and meetings with some of the people on whom the story is based. A full story will be online soon. Bradbury's Documentaries include "Fronline" about the legendary Australian News cameraman, Neil Davis, who ultimately shot the footage of the North Korean capture of the US Embassy in Saigon. EXPERIENCE AVID DNA TOUR Rob was recently a panelist on the Experience Avid DNA Tour which travelled the US presenting the latest HD capable software from Avid. Rob spoke to more than 500 people on his use and experience with HD aquisition for Feature Film and TV release. |

SPEAKER AND LIGHTING DEMO AT NY DV TRADE SHOW Rob recently gave a series of talks and lighting demonstrations as part of the NY DV Trade Show at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Rob also teamed up with Steve Mahrer of Panasonic to talk about the new Panasonic Varicam 24P Hi Definition camera. His talks were one of the highlights of the show drawing large audiences with more than 200 participants over the course of three sessions. |
HI-DEFINITION 24P OPENER FOR THE LATE SHOW Rob recently teamed up with Late Show Director, Jerry Foley to shoot a new Opener for the Show. Photographed in NYC over four days the opener will feature not only 24P but also Inferno animation from Broadway Video. A full story and pix will be online soon. 24P Equipment was suppleid by Fletchers Chicago and was accompanied on set in NYC by Dave Pavlic and Mike Shearon. |

HI DEFINITION 24P THE FACE OF AMERICA - WOLFTRAP FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS
Lighting gigantic underground caverns with Helium Balloons Photographed a unique project in July which Premiere's on stage at Wolftrap August 24th. The project is the third segment of an eight part series funded by Wolftrap called The Face of America. We shot in Mammoth Caves Kentucky with Dancers Choreographed by Doug Varone. Using Helium Balloons from Available Light in NYC (with whom I had worked closely on the TV Series ED) I worked with Choregrapher Doug Varone to make the lighting partof the dance. The footage, all on 24P Hi Definition using Sony's 900 series camera, will be presented as part of a live performance on stage at Wolftrap August 24. SANTA FE HI DEFINITION WORKSHOP
Participant using the HDW-900 with Innovision Lens for tabletop Work August 4-8th 2002 UCLA Campus Los Angeles. Joined Jeff Cree from SONY and Vince Gancie from Gancie Television to instruct intensive Workshop using the SONY HDW-900 24P Camera System. More than 20 professionals from throughout the Industry attended the Workshop which included detailed instruction in the workings of the camera, practical hand on application and instruction in the creative use of, and lighting for, the HD system.
